The Biosphere Eco-City (BEC) initiative is happy to share ideas and information on the BEC approach with cities across Canada.
For example, it advised Ryerson University to help produce the Toronto Sustainability Tour (link at bottom of home page). As well, Ottawa BEC partnered with Water Rangers to produce a water testing kit, which is selling across the country.
Any City in Canada is welcome to apply BEC Themes and Tools. This site is meant to explain how to use them. People developing BEC initiatives in other cities may request advice, from a volunteer, through the Contact button on the home page.
When a BEC initiative begins in a new city, it can be linked to this website. That way others involved in BEC, or people working to set up BEC initiatives, may contact each other and communicate directly.
